Cooking Advice
For best results, remove the turkey crown from the fridge before cooking and preheat your oven to 180°C / Fan 160°C / Gas 4.
Remove all outer packaging and place the crown in a roasting tin. Cover loosely with foil and roast in the centre of the oven, removing the foil for approximately the final 30 minutes to allow the bacon to colour.
As a guide, allow approximately:
- 1.5kg: 1 hour 30 minutes
- 2.5kg: 2 hours 15 minutes
- 3.2kg: 2 hours 45 minutes
Ovens vary, so these cooking times should be used as a guide only.
Always check your turkey is thoroughly cooked before serving. Insert a clean food thermometer into the thickest part of the meat and ensure it has reached a minimum core temperature of 75°C. The meat should be steaming hot throughout, with no pink meat remaining and the juices running clear.
Once cooked, cover loosely with foil and allow to rest before carving.
