Description
Award-Winning Scotch Ribeye Steak
Our award-winning Scotch Ribeye Steak is expertly prepared from carefully selected Scotch Beef and is renowned for its rich flavour, tenderness and natural marbling.
The ribeye is prized for the fine fat running through the meat, which melts during cooking to produce a beautifully juicy steak with plenty of flavour.
Perfect for pan frying, grilling or cooking on the BBQ, ribeye is a great choice for anyone who enjoys a tender steak with a richer, fuller flavour.
Prepared by our butcher team and cut to your chosen weight.

Cooking Suggestion
For best results, remove the steak from the refrigerator around 20–30 minutes before cooking.
Pat dry and season with sea salt and freshly ground black pepper. Heat a heavy-based frying pan or grill until very hot. Add a small amount of oil and cook approximately:
- Rare: 2 minutes per side
- Medium Rare: 3 minutes per side
- Medium: 4 minutes per side
- Well Done: 5–6 minutes per side
Cooking times are a guide and will vary depending on the thickness of the steak and your cooking equipment.
Once cooked, allow the steak to rest for 3–5 minutes before serving.
For a classic ribeye, we particularly like it cooked medium rare to medium, allowing that natural marbling to render and add flavour.
Storage & Freezing
Keep refrigerated at 0–5°C.
Once opened, consume within 24 hours and always by the use-by date shown on the pack.
Suitable for home freezing. Freeze on the day of purchase and before the use-by date.
Defrost thoroughly in the refrigerator before cooking. Once defrosted, use within 24 hours and do not refreeze.
Food Safety
Always wash hands, surfaces and utensils thoroughly after handling raw meat.
As a whole cut of beef, steak may be served rare or medium rare provided the outside surfaces are properly seared during cooking.
Ensure the outside of the steak is thoroughly browned/seared before serving.
Cooking times are provided as a guide only.
