Description
Tender Beef Made for Sharing
Chateaubriand is cut from the thickest end of the beef fillet – one of the most tender cuts of beef.
Our Beef Chateaubriand is carefully matured for tenderness and flavour before being traditionally trimmed and tied by our butchers, leaving you with a beautifully prepared joint that’s ready for the pan or oven.
Its generous thickness makes it particularly suited to cooking as one piece before resting and carving into thick slices at the table.
Available in:
500g minimum weight – ideal for a smaller sharing meal
800g minimum weight – ideal when you’re feeding a few more or want generous portions
As every piece is traditionally prepared, the exact shape may vary slightly. Your Chateaubriand will always meet or exceed the minimum weight selected.

Cooking Suggestion
For the best result, remove your Chateaubriand from the fridge around 30–60 minutes before cooking.
Season well and sear in a hot pan to develop a rich colour on all sides before transferring to the oven to finish cooking.
Because Chateaubriand is a thick cut, we recommend using a meat thermometer to cook it to your preferred level of doneness rather than relying solely on cooking time.
Once cooked, allow it to rest well before carving into thick slices. This is particularly important with a cut like Chateaubriand.
Serve with dauphinoise potatoes or chips, seasonal vegetables and a peppercorn or rich beef sauce.
Food Safety
This product is raw and should be handled carefully. Wash hands, utensils and surfaces thoroughly after contact with raw meat and keep raw meat separate from cooked and ready-to-eat foods.
As this is a whole cut of beef, it can be served pink in the middle if preferred. Ensure all outside surfaces are thoroughly seared and cooked before serving.
