Roast Topside of Beef

A proper traditional roast — lean, full of flavour, and perfect for feeding the family.

Topside has been a Sunday favourite for generations, and when cooked right, it delivers beautifully tender slices and rich beef flavour.

🛒 What You’ll Need (Serves 4–6)

  • 1–1.5kg topside beef joint
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 carrots, chopped
  • Salt & black pepper
  • Beef stock
  • 1 tbsp oil

🔥 How to Cook

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C
  2. Rub oil, salt & pepper over the joint
  3. Place on a bed of onions & carrots

👉 Cooking guide:

  • 20 mins per 500g = Medium
  • Add extra time if you prefer more done
  1. Rest for 20 minutes before carving
